What type of member are you?

The INDUSTRY MEMBER is a legal entity that, through its professional activities, provides services and consultancy in various areas, including:
  • energy services and the manufacture and distribution of materials, components and technologies;
  • design and installation of photovoltaic systems;
  • construction of photovoltaic systems, including on behalf of third parties;
  • operation and maintenance (O&M) of individual plants and portfolios of photovoltaic assets;
  • energy trading and sales (involving electricity generated by both owned and third-party plants).
The INVESTOR MEMBER is a legal entity that invests part or all of its capital in photovoltaic projects with the aim of generating a return on the investment. The capital invested may come from both own resources (equity) and external sources (investment funds, banks, insurance companies, etc.). Investor Members also include:
  • IPPs/investment funds and their Italian branches that develop projects in-house;
  • SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles), companies established to carry out financial activities transferred by third parties.
The SUPPORTING MEMBER is an individual who shares the Association’s mission and vision and does not engage in any professional activity in the energy sector. This type of membership is suitable, for example, for university professors and teachers at all levels of education who do not carry out the professional activities typical of an Industry Member.
The STUDENT MEMBER is an individual who is currently enrolled in a secondary education or university course and is under 30 years of age.
The INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER is an entity that falls into one of the following categories:
  • National and local trade associations.
  • National associations whose members are located in two or more Italian regions and operate throughout the country.
  • Other local associations whose members are located in one Italian region and operate exclusively within that region.
  • Schools and universities, as institutions.
  • University professors and teachers register as Supporting Members, in accordance with the rule concerning their primary professional activity.
  • Regions, Provinces and Municipalities, as institutions and not individual employees.
The OWNERS OF PV POWER PLANT MEMBER is a member that falls into one of the following categories:
  • Owner of a residential PV system, an individual who owns one or more residential photovoltaic systems.
  • Apartment buildings and energy communities.
  • Owner of a company PV power plant, a legal entity and/or owner of an SME that is responsible for a photovoltaic system.
Applicants must select the membership category that corresponds to their primary activity.
If the applicant is both an Industry Member and a Student Member, they must register as an Industry Member. If the applicant is both an Industry Member and the owner of a Residential PV System, they must register as an Industry Member. If the applicant is both an Industry Member and the owner of a Company PV Power Plant, they must register according to their primary activity, i.e. the activity that generates the highest turnover.
